NEWGATE HOTEL NEWCASTLE, Newcastle upon Tyne – A Smart Stay in the City

The hotel is a bit outdated but adequate. The rooms are shabby and dirty, more like a 'travelodge' standard. The service was polite and friendly; however, the lifts were out of order during my stay. The location is the best feature, stepping out of reception is amazing. The dining experience in the 6th-floor restaurant was a shambles, but the food quality was good. The facilities are basic, nothing fancy but functional.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The location was excellent, right amongst the nightlife, just steps away from reception, but that was really all that stood out positively.
